Town Planner/Senior Town Planner Role Competitive Salary, Package & Career Growth (Kent Planning Consultancy Ltd)

We are a friendly and rapidly growing planning practice based in Biddenden, in the heart of Kent, covering urban and rural planning. We are looking for an enthusiastic town planner/senior town planner with a solid understanding of the planning process and planning policy to support our clients on a range of planning projects.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Working with clients on their planning potential and options

  • Working with design teams and stakeholders to deal with planning issues affecting projects

  • Preparing planning appraisals for sites

  • Preparing planning applications and planning statements

  • Supporting post planning work such as reserved matters applications, discharge of planning conditions and amendment applications

  • Writing reports and making recommendations

  • Liaising with planning officers

  • Undertaking research and analysis

Experience and Qualifications Town planners who should apply must have the following:

  • Relevant RTPI accredited degree or working towards completion of degree

  • Achieved Chartered Town Planner status, or are working towards your APC

  • A minimum of three years town planning experience, within a public sector or private consultancy environment

  • Good experience working with and managing various stakeholders

  • Understand and have experience in the development management process

  • Good experience managing your own projects and meeting deadlines

  • An analytical approach to current and emerging planning policy
